Students and instructors collaborate to adapt William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The classes focus on Shakespeare's life and times, expand on literary devices, and culminate in a final performance to benefit the community. Our professional resident artists instruct students in the Shakesperience Approach.
Students learn to develop action and character through text within a strong, socially responsive ensemble that takes ownership of the work. Students show significant long-term behaviors, including literacy, public speaking, individual and group work ethic, and positive outlook, attitude, and self-expression. Grade 2 & up.
